Benoit Garneret: ADF Systèmes provides technical solutions adapted to all our needs

Mar 8, 2022 | Case studies

Benoit Garneret is a member of Siemens’ Infrastructure City division. Attached to the Vélizy branch in Besançon and Dijon, this Siemens division has some 40 employees working in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region.

For many years, Siemens has been active in the fields of intelligent infrastructure for buildings, decentralized power generation, automation and digitalization in the manufacturing and process industries.

Specialist in the design and installation of fire safety systemsSiemens works with a professional clientele. Its customers are mainly large companies : industry, ERP, hospitals, pharmaceuticals, shopping centers…

Project manager for Peugeot PSA Sochaux, Benoit Garneret’s mission is to develop all safety measures (fire, gas detection) on this site. There are two main teams: the maintenance team and the works team, to which Benoit Garneret reports.

Founded in 1912, the PSA Peugeot-Citroën industrial site in Sochaux is the largest automotive manufacturing site in France and one of the most modern in Europe. With no fewer than 9,000 employees and 1,890 vehicles assembled on the site every day, the safety challenges are many! Industrial risk prevention and assessment of the risk of explosion (ATEX) become an absolute priority for a site of this scale.

“We use ADF Systèmes’ audible and illuminated signage products a lot for our work.”

Although Siemens has its own product catalog, the group regularly calls on ADF Systèmes to supply third-party products as a complement. They have been sourcing security solutions from ADFSystèmes for several years now.

Benoit confides in us that he has a very good relationship with Pascal Richet, a salesman in the area for many years, with whom he is used to working.

“ADF Systèmes always manages to provide us with products and technical solutions tailored to our needs.”

Sometimes, depending on the specific requirements of their customers, Siemens does not have the right products in their catalog. They call on ADF Systèmes to meet this need.

Siemens regularly orders products from ADF Systèmes. Since this year, they have reached a new milestone in their collaboration and signed a new agreement. ADF will now supply all the sirens for the 40 Siemens branches in France. A great project.

In compliance with regulations, all products ordered from ADF are certified with Siemens equipment. Everything must be NF-compliant.

“With ADF Systèmes, we have a very good guaranteed return. In the event of a problem, the team is reactive and knows how to help us out in a hurry.”

For Benoit Garneret, equipment quality is essential. To ensure the reliability of our installations and the highest quality of service for our customers, Siemens focuses above all on the durability of our products.

The PSA Peugeot site, for which Benoit Garneret is project manager, is not classified as SEVESO. There may be risks related to the various gases present, paint solvents, petrol… and therefore risks of explosion. The safety of people working on the site is obviously priority number 1.

A national partnership to supply ATEX products

Siemens and ADF Systèmes have formed a nationwide partnership. Thanks to the integration of the ADF Systèmes product catalog into Siemens’ technical sales tools , orders are automatically placed with ADF Systèmes.

As soon as they place an order with ADF Systèmes, it goes straight into their production system. This means that sales staff can react quickly, saving valuable time and productivity.

“Even though it’s becoming increasingly automated, there’s a serious follow-up to our requests with ADF. Each of our expectations is taken into account and receives a rapid and appropriate response.”
